If there was going to be a Team Epic Movie, how would you cast the characters from famous living celebrities.

My list.

Captain Epic - Will Farrel

Kimberly - Jessica Simpson

Little Epic - Danny Devito

Master Brood- Johnny Depp

Valkery - Lucy Lawless

Alien - Russel Peters

Chromos - Ian Mackellen

What about casting it with Canadian celebrities?  Afterall, it’s a fairly uber-Canadian show to begin with.

Good List but here’s how I would do it (not taking account actor’s nationality)

Captain Epic - Patrick Warburton (David Putty from Seinfeld)
Kim St. Clair - Alyson Hannigan
Little Epic - Will Farrel
Master Brood - Justin Kirk (brother in Weeds)
Valarie Hart - Lucy Lawless
Omni - Jim parsons (geeky tall guy from Big Bang Theory)
Chromos - Ian Mackellen

Yes, Ian Mackellen as Chromos is a must! And Will Farrel as Little Epic would be hilarious!

However, I’ll give a Canadian line-up a try:

Captain Epic - Ryan Renolds or take the Paul Gross approach
Kimberly St. Clair - Rachel McAdams
Little Epic - Martin Short? Maybe?
Master Brood - Ryan Gosling
Valerie Hart - Carrie-Ann Moss (Matrix)
Omni - Russel Peters
Chromos - Either Colm Feore or Leslie Nielsen

What do you think?

I almost think that Colm Feore would be better suited as the guy with the sunglasses… subtle, unexpected.  What about George Strombolopolous as Brood… I mean, he’d have to take some acting classes and shed a few pounds, but why not?

Leslie Nielsen is a great choice for Chromos. He’d be great because he’s a comic legend and casting him in this role means we’re casting against type.

Unfortunately I’ve gotta disagree with Martin Short, but only because he is little and Little Epic can’t be too little....

George S. As Brood? Bizarre and hilarious. Maybe Hayden Christianson or however you spell it (only if he took a lot of acting lessons).

You’re probably right about Martin Short, Vindicator. He was my only suggestion because i thought he could pull of the ADD that’s been lacking in this little epic. Any other thoughts for this character?

I think Dan Aakroyd (sp?) would be a great little epic.

And I totally disagree about George Strombo, he wouldn’t fit at all. We’re all forgetting though that Keanu Reeves is Canadian. He’d be so perfect for Master Brood and he wouldn’t even need too many acting lessons ‘cause that’s probably the only character he could ever play.

Also wouldn’t need much make-up either.

True enough Vindicator, Keanu Reeves would probably win an Oscar. Perfect fit. Any ideas for the Glacier character?

I originally was leaning towards Rachael McAdams, but now that I think about it more, what about Trish Stratus from the WWE, just with a blue wig on?

When you label a movie epic, it means that there’s some sweeping, vast quality to the movie. It overwhelms with artistic mastery, or with resounding visuals (in HD of course), or it’s in some way larger than life. Typically, the protagonist has to face some pretty overwhelming odds, which often he or she may not overcome, or if he/she does, it nearly takes them out. There’s often war, or conflict and often the setting is cast in some distant time period. Here’s a look at some of the most memorable epic films to see the light of day, or rather the darkness of the theater. You can catch most of these on satellite TV.
