Sometimes I’m really bothered by the way a show’s success is measured in this day and age. I’m truly baffled that although most people spend a large proportion of their entertainment time watching videos online, it’s still considered the epitome of success to air your series on a dying medium. Don’t get me wrong, TV will always exist in one form or another but it needs to change and it needs to change fast. I really hope that in the next few years everyone will realize that entertainment can be consumed in many different ways and that it is entirely possible to become successful due to the web.
Of course, I don’t mean that expanding to television is a bad choice. I simply want to say that success should be measured in ways other than distribution on an American network.
