Epic Hero Challenge

The Epic Hero Challenge will allow YOU the viewer to pick the next great Canadian Superhero!!  Choose from a collection of designs being developed by students from a local Toronto Elementary School. The students will reveal each week (friday) the new superheroes that you will be able to choose as the best Hero to join Team Epic on their journey. Revisit the site from Feb 1 - Mar 15 to vote who is the coolest, next best Epic Hero to appear on the show!!  All prizes being provided by Hero Certified Burgers at 79A Yonge Street.

Biography:

Born in Ottawa, Freezer was an average kid at school.  When he was five years old, his parents passed away.  So, he lived with his grandparents.  Since his grandparents liked hockey, they taught Freezer how to skate and play hockey.  After he found out that the Rideau Canal had a skateway in it , he told himself that he would practice on it.  Hey would practice his skating for hours on the Canal for at least five times a week.  His hockey hero was Wayne Gretzky.  He even built a rink in his backyard, just like his hero.  He was a very determined boy.

One day, while Freezer was skating, he slipped and fell through thin ice and froze into an ice block.  For months he was frozen.  It was the strangest phenomenon.  No scientist or doctor could explain it.  The ice melted in late May.  He discovered his powers when he was trying to stop a robbery but instead he froze the robber.  That is when he decided to use his powers to make the world a better place.

Since his parent’s death, Freezer always felt lonely.  He always hid it from his grandparents because he knew that they were doing their best despite their old age.  Whenever he felt lonely, he would very casually walk across the playground and when nobody was looking, he would run to a hiding place and sit for a long time before he decided to come out.  One day, he saw Captain Epic giving a speech.  That is when he decided to join the team.
